Director and Chiropractor

A highlight of Dr. Uwland's career thus far has been working at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games as a Chiropractor. He has also worked at International Surfing Competitions, Golf events, Australian Beach Volleyball, and Surf-lifesaving events.

He has 4 young boys, and is enjoying watching them grow-up, which has led to a special interest in Chiropractic care for children. He particularly extols the virtues of Chiropractic for children because he has seen the benefits to his own children and the way they have flourished.

Dr. Uwland also completed a degree in Human Movement and is a very enthusiastic sports person, enjoying playing AFL football, surfboat rowing, squash and golfing. He has also completed the Gold Coast 42km full marathon.

Chiropractor

Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Lara Beutel-Cox attained her Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Queensland. This was followed by the completion of her Masters Degree of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in Sydney in 1996 after which, she returned home to practice at Broadbeach Chiropractic.

Lara has worked in both the National and International sporting arena as a team Chiropractor in many events including Xtreme Games, Uncle Toby's Super Series, National Pro Beach Volleyball, Billabong Pro Surf Series and Quiksilver Pro men's and women's events. This interest in sport led her to complete an International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma in 2001 which expanded her knowledge of sporting injuries and rehabilitation.

Lara's love of travel saw her living and working overseas for several years before returning to practice here two years ago. Her other interests include ocean sports, reading, and studying Spanish.

Remedial Massage Therapist

Kelvin has been massaging with Broadbeach Chiropractic for the last 2 and a half years. Prior to this Kelvin was working at Palazzo Versace, Conrad Jupiters Casino and numerous other locations around the Gold Coast. Kelvin has over 8 years massage experience gaining his Diploma of Remedial Massage at Massage Schools of Queensland.

Kelvin's expertise include remedial massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, trigger point therapy and relaxation massage. As a competitive triathlete Kelvin has extensive first hand knowledge of all the aches and pains the body can present.

Whether it be a sore back, tight neck and shoulders or just some stress release, Kelvin is always keen to massage the problem away.
